In April each year, to celebrate the end of another the hectic summer harvest season The Stables Wine Estate holds its annual Grape Crushing Festival. This provides the opportunity for wine lovers to "stomp" their own grapes.

Next Grape Crushing Festival:
Date:
Saturday, 17 April 2010
Time: 12h30
Cost: R95.00 per person, including "I crushed grapes at The Stables" T-shirt
Venue: The Stables Wine Estate, Nottingham Road, Midlands
(Directions)

In classic French tradition the grapes are foot-stomped after careful cleaning, and the juice then used to make the season’s wine. We will also have pony rides / face painting for the children, as well as boerewors and prego rolls, cheeseboards, beer and soft drinks for sale.

Based on previous positive response the Grape Crushing Festival has become an annual highlight!
